On November 25, Serbian Ambassador to Germany Dr. Snezana Janković paid an official visit to Lower Saxony, where she had a meeting with Bernd Althusmann, Minister of Economy, Labor, Transport and Digitalization of this German province. The conversation focused on further improvement of economic cooperation and investments of German companies in Serbia.

Ambassador Janković informed Minister Althusman about the benefits of investments and the advantages of the Serbian economy, as well as the results of our economy, which expects growth of over 7% of GDP for 2021. She also stated that German companies in Serbia employ over 73,000 workers and that the company "Continental" from Lower Saxony, which employs over 2,000 workers in Serbia, occupies a significant place among them. Sending an invitation to Minister Althusman to visit Serbia together with a delegation of businessmen, Ambassador Janković expressed hope that the business conditions in Serbia will attract other companies from this German province, which is also the seat of the automobile industry.

Minister Althusman replied that Serbia was recognized in Germany as a very suitable destination for investments. He emphasized that the extremely positive experiences of German investors in our country are the best recommendation for other companies to follow their example. He conveyed the readiness of the Chamber of Commerce of Lower Saxony and his ministry to engage in further improvement of economic relations and increase the volume of trade exchange between Serbia and Germany.
