During the recent official visit to Lower Saxony, Ambassador Dr. Snežana Janković had a meeting with representatives of the Serbian diaspora from Lower Saxony, which was held at the Church of St. Sava in Hannover. The needs and position of the Serbian community in Hanover and Lower Saxony, which has several thousand of our citizens, were discussed at the meeting. Representatives of the Church of St. Sava and our diaspora spoke about their activities with the aim of further strengthening the visibility of our community in this German province, but also to contribute to the improvement of bilateral relations with Lower Saxony in the field of economy, culture and sports. 

Ambassador Janković thanked those present for their long-term engagement in achieving important goals for the Serbian community in Lower Saxony. She introduced them to the projects of support for the diaspora provided by the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, inviting them to cooperate with the Embassy during the organization of important events. Thanking the archpriest of the Temple of Saint Sava, Aleksandar Perković, and the archpriest-staurophore Branislav Čortanovacki for their hospitality, Ambassador Janković expressed her desire to maintain close contacts and cooperation with representatives of our diaspora from Lower Saxony.
