On November 28, Serbian Ambassador to Germany Dr. Snežana Janković and Consul Milica Topalović visited the "Zlatni opanak" Cultural and Artistic Association from Berlin and discussed with the management and members the activities of this cultural and artistic association and plans for the upcoming period, as well as ways to deepen cooperation.

In the conversation, the management pointed out that due to the pandemic, many activities and manifestations that were planned were canceled, but that rehearsals of folklore and performances of ethno music were still held, while adhering to health measures. They introduced the ambassador with the activities and history of CAA, which was founded ten years ago and has about 100 members, of which 80 are in the folklore section.

Ambassador S. Janković expressed her gratitude to the management of CAA for the effort to maintain Serbian culture and tradition in this area and for young people to connect to their roots, despite growing up in a foreign environment. She conveyed the readiness and desire for the Embassy, to the extent that the health situation in Germany allows, to support projects and participate in joint programs, especially those aimed at nurturing the Serbian language, tradition and culture. She pointed out that it is important for our culture to be presented to the German public, which would contribute to greater visibility and recognizability of our community.
