The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Snežana Janković talked today with Mr. Gert Rabbow, the newly appointed director for Serbia of the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad, and Ms. Katharina Wittke from the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. Rabbow informed the Ambassador that he would take office in Belgrade at the beginning of 2022.

In the conversation, opinions were exchanged on possible joint activities and ways to further improve economic cooperation between Serbia and Germany.

Ambassador Janković introduced to Mr. Rabbow the Embassy's efforts to attract new investments from Germany, as well as to increase the volume of trade. She pointed out that Serbia already has significant experience in cooperation with German companies, which employ more than 73 thousand people in our country. Having in mind the advantages of Serbian economy and its regional significance, we believe that there are numerous opportunities for raising economic cooperation to an even higher level.

Agreeing with the above mentioned, Mr. Rabbow said that the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad will be very active in further enhancement of economic cooperation, bearing in mind that most German companies are very satisfied with the business conditions in Serbia.
