The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Snežana Janković talked today at the Embassy with Mr. Adis Ahmetovic, Member of German Bundestag. 

During his visit to the Embassy, ​​MP Ahmetović expressed great satisfaction with the cooperation with the Serbian community in his constituency in Hannover. 

Having roots from our region and being born in Germany, his fields of interest are cooperation between Germany and the Western Balkans, as well as our region's membership in the EU. 

Congratulating Mr. Ahmetović on his election to the German Bundestag, Ambassador Janković pointed out that the two important foreign policy goals of the Republic of Serbia are EU membership and regional cooperation. She informed him about the progress in the process of European integration, expressing the expectation that the new Bundestag, as well as the new German government, will bring additional dynamics to the negotiation process on our European path. 

She cited the Open Balkans initiative as one example of Serbia's commitment to regional cooperation and progress. 

She invited MP Ahmetović to visit Serbia and nurture contacts with colleagues from the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
