On 11th of Mai 2022, H.E. Dr. Snezana Jankovic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Federal Republic of Germany, had a meeting with the President of the German Bundestag, H.E. Bärbel Bas. In an open and friendly atmosphere, they have exchanged their views about the overall bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Germany, as well as about the European integration of Serbia.
Emphasizing that Germany is our the most important partner with whom we have an intensive political dialogue and developed economic cooperation, Ambassador Janković pointed out the importance of further German support for intensifying Serbia's European integration. She also informed the President of the German Bundestag about the results in the reform process, as well as the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, underlining the necessity of forming the Association of Serbian Municipalities and fulfilling the obligations from the Brussels Agreement by Pristina.
Assessing the bilateral relations between Serbia and Germany as very good, the President of the German Bundestag also expressed her personal readiness to engage in support of the European integration of Serbia and the Western Balkans. She expressed understanding for the need of the citizens of Serbia to make the European perspective more concrete and achievable in a more predictable timeframe.
