On October 20, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Germany Dr. Snežana Janković had a meeting with the Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany Dr. Anna Lührmann. Further progress of Serbia in the European integration process was discussed at the meeting. Ambassador Janković informed Minister of State Lührmann about Serbia's efforts to strengthen the share of renewable energy sources in the total energy consumption, as well as efforts to diversify energy supply. Recalling that the Republic of Serbia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on climate partnership with Germany, as one of only a few countries in the world, Ambassador Janković pointed out that this provides a basis for even stronger cooperation between Serbia and Germany in the field of the Green Agenda and environmental projects. State Minister Lührmann expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany to cooperate closely with Serbia in this field. The conversation also covered other current topics in the Western Balkans region, such as meetings within the Berlin Process, dialogue between Belgrade and Priština and further reforms in Serbia on the path of European integration.

Both parties expressed their satisfaction and expectation that significant agreements will be adopted at the Berlin Process summit, which will contribute to further strengthening of cooperation in the Western Balkans.
